Press Release Body = Three of the top rescues in the Phoenix area, the Arizona
Humane Society, AzCATs and Animal Care & Control will be joining Cat Galaxy in its
broadcast of Code Red Cats a 10 hour live broadcast on Saturday, June 10th to
promote cat adoptions, spay/neuter and TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return). Scheduled to
appear on the show will be Alexis Boyle of the Arizona Humane Society, Melissa
Newton, President of AzCATs, and reps from other rescue organizations

"We are pleased that some animal rescue groups are taking an interest in the show.
It is our hope that even more rescue groups as well as the media will be a part of
such a unique broadcast," said Nohl Rosen of Cat Galaxy.

The radio station for cats, which recently celebrated its 5th year of broadcasting
has had one similar show happen at the beginning of cat and kitten season back in
March called Crazy About Cats which lasted 12 straight hours. That show promoted
feline spay/neuter, cat rescue and TNR. Code Red Cats will last 10 hours but is the
first show for the station where human representatives from animal rescue groups
will be in-studio to talk about the issues cats are facing.

"Cat and kitten season is here and many shelters are filled to capacity with felines
needing good and loving homes. This show will be a good mix of music with a very
important message that all cats are important. They deserve a shot at life whether
they are your normal housecat or a feral. The other message this show will bring is
that spaying and neutering can help put a dent in unwanted litters being born and
possibly end overpopulation. Too many cats are ending up in shelters all around the
country, many of them from unwanted litters and others are feral which because of
their wild nature are often euthanized. It is sad to see this. Hopefully this
broadcast will be seen as a good education tool and the public will respond by
helping a cat in need. I think a station for cats is the perfect place to host such
an event \" said Rosen.

Besides AHS, AzCATs and AC&C, representatives from other rescue groups are currently
being scheduled to appear on the show. Listeners also will be able to ask questions
of the guests via Skype (a chat and instant message program) as well via email.
Rosen says that plenty of work is going into this show but that having advertisers,
sponsors and even media support will be crucial.

\"A lot of hard work is being put into this show. Getting advertisers and sponsors
has been tough. However, support from the media is even more important as we want
the public to know that this broadcast is happening. We want them to know about the
issues facing felines and that there is a radio station out there willing to put its
time and energy into making a difference in the lives of cats, especially when so
many are turning up in shelters. Cats needing good and loving homes, spaying and
neutering and TNR of feral cats are important issues, which you can\'t ignore.
Hopefully this broadcast will make a difference in the lives of felines everywhere
that need it,\" Rosen added.
